The Indian in the Cupboard, by Lynne Reid Banks
This story is about how Omri gets a medicine cupboard from one of his brothers, and his mother helped him find a key to match it. Then he got a little plastic Indian for his birthday, also. He went up to his room and opened the cupboard and put the Indian in the cupboard. The next morning when Omri woke up he heard this weird sound coming from the cupboard. He looked inside and the Indian was moving and was a living thing! He opened the cupboard and the little Indian actually talked. His name was Little Bear. What will Omri do with him??
What I like about the story is the story is very exciting when it gets to a part that is kind of scary not like scary when someone disappears. Like for example, one of Omri's brothers' rat went into the vents underneath his floor and Little Bear had to go in there and get the key because it got lost in there and Little Bear almost died. I read the Indian in the Cupboard when I was in fourth grade and I loved it and I wanted to read it again so that's why I just bought it instead of going to the library and using my card so I found it in a thrift store and bought it. I really thought it was a good book so I thought why don't I do a review on it? And I am sure kids at school will read it. If you don't like books and you aren't much of a reader, this book really got my imagination into it and couldn't put it down. So this book might change your mind about books -- I'm not saying like you HAVE to change your mind but it is a really great book and the reason why you should also read it is because it is SO great!!
